The Cleveland Cavaliers opened the season last night like many thought they would, by falling flat on their face. According to reports, they have apparently finally decided that they need a point guard who can play like a point guard.
They are rumored to be looking at acquiring Beno Udirh, as reported by the Akron Beacon Journal: One player the Cleveland Cavaliers may now look at is point guard Beno Udirh, who was traded from the San Antonio Spurs to the Minnesota Timberwolves and then waived Monday. A former first round pick, Udrih never delivered on his promise in San Antonio and was constantly in and out of Gregg Popovich's doghouse. However, Cavs general manager Danny Ferry has been a Beno fan in the past and may take a look at him. The issue is that he's currently out with a broken finger.
Whether they turn to Udirh or not, one thing is for sure, the Cavs need to do something. For more recent news about the Cavaliers as reported by the Biz of Basketball check here.
