Turner Network Television (TNT) today released its announcing teams for the network’s 40 games in 40 nights of NBA Playoffs coverage. TNT has exclusive coverage of the entire Western Conference Finals. TNT will use its full slate of NBA announcers with play-by-play veteran Marv Albert paired with analyst Reggie Miller, Kevin Harlan will provide play-by-play alongside analyst Doug Collins, and Dick Stockton will team with analyst Mike Fratello. Returning to the network for this year’s playoff coverage play-by-play announcer Matt Devlin will team up with an analyst to be announced. Sideline reporters include Craig Sager, David Aldridge and Cheryl Miller, with Pam Oliver, Marty Snider, Dei Lynam and Stephanie Ready also returning for the playoffs to provide onsite reports during early-round coverage. Indiana Pacers studio host and reporter Stacy Paetz will also serve as a sideline reporter during the playoffs. TNT’s John Thompson will contribute exclusive interviews throughout the playoffs for “Timeout with Thompson†features.
TNT’s coverage of NBA Playoff action tips off with a first-round tripleheader on Sunday, April 20, and a one-hour NBA Playoff Preview show featuring insights from its Emmy-winning Inside the NBA studio team of Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley (times TBD).
The network’s exclusive coverage of the Western Conference Finals will feature a live studio show originating from the game locations with Johnson, Smith and Barkley being joined by Magic Johnson for Games #1 and #2 and Reggie Miller for Games #3 through #7 (if necessary). Calling the Western Conference Finals are Marv Albert and Doug Collins with Craig Sager reporting from the sideline; Cheryl Miller will provide reports from the Eastern Conference Finals.
